The first step is for us to send a qualified engineer to survey your home. We offer free, no-obligation surveys across Shropshire, so it costs nothing for us to take a look and advise. Our engineer will advise on the best choice of wood burner for your home and answer any questions about the installation process.

Factors to consider include where you’d like the wood burner installed in your home, and what heat output you would need for the space. If you’d like to query either of these points, please raise them with our engineer or contact our office with any initial questions.

Alternatively, to view our range in person, visit our Church Stretton showroom. We have a huge range of appliances on live and cold display. Where possible, we’re happy to light live display models during your visit – so contact us if there were any appliances you’d like to see in action.

Once our engineer has surveyed your home, we’ll put together a quote. This will include the cost of your wood burner, flue system and labour charges for installation. It will also include costings for a hearth and/or surround if required. If there’s anything you’d like to query on your quote once received, please contact our office and we’ll be happy to talk you through it.

Additionally, if there’s anything you’d like to change after receiving your quote, please let us know. Whether you’d like prices for alternative stoves, surrounds or hearths, our team can find prices and put together an updated quote for you.

Also included in your quote will be any associated trades required for your installation – such as a plasterer or an electrician. We work closely with tradesmen we trust, ensuring every aspect of your installation is carried out to the highest standard. Not only this, but organising trades on your behalf allows us to streamline the process for a seamless installation. 

Once you’re happy with the quote, please contact our office to confirm. We’ll take a 25% deposit for the quote and book your installation into our calendar. This can be arranged for a specified date to suit you, or our soonest available slot.

Prior to the installation of your wood burner, we ask you to read and sign a copy of our installation notes. This will be sent to you with your quote and can be returned to our engineers on day of installation.

Additionally, for properties with an existing flue, we ask that you have the chimney swept prior to the installation of your new stove. If required, contact our office and we can recommend a chimney sweep.

The skills of our craftsman bricklayer can be used to design and build brick or stone features to suit client’s designs, create inglenooks and more. We are also experienced in chimney construction using masonry liners designed to both insulate and withstand thermal shock. 

Generally, all of our installations are completed in 1-2 days.

Where a job takes place over two days, Day 1 will typically involve dust sheets being laid down around the work area and preparation of the area required for your new fire or stove. Day 2 normally involves fitting the appliance, chimney connection and specialist plaster finish around the fireplace.
